The Standard Double Room was really clean with a comfy mattress and nice bed linen. The shower was awesome, and I loved the toiletries. It was quiet, which was great for sleep. They provided milk and water on arrival, but there was no fridge in the room to keep them chilled.

The Double Room was modern and comfortable, providing a good quality mattress and a superb shower that made for a refreshing stay. The restaurant offered excellent food, including delicious whole wheat bread rolls, and a lively atmosphere with a band playing in the evening. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome after a long journey, though the accommodation could use a little more soundproofing for a quieter night.

Comfortable room with nice decor.
During our stay, we encountered several maintenance issues that were quite disappointing. The loo seat was loose, and the sliding door to the bathroom was coming off its rail, which made it hard to use. the garden gate leading to our room needed re-hanging. it was frustrating that such simple fixes had not been addressed.

the locashun was perfect for us, the staff were super friendly and we loved chilling in the lounge by the log burner. the live music was a blast on saturday, really brought the place to life! our evening meals were totally fine too.
only two things to mention, the room was a bit small for a family and the pillows were kinda lumpy.

Had a lovely time with my partner! We really enjoyed the cozy double room and the beautiful garden seating area for a nice evening unwind. The hot tub was a treat! The dinner portions were a bit hefty for us, but definitely generous for those with bigger appetites. 😊

Pleasant Stay with Minor Tweaks Needed
We enjoyed our 3-night getaway in a standard double room. Highlights included a lovely onsite restaurant with delicious meals. A few minor issues in the bathroom, like a loose toilet seat and an unlevel shelf, could enhance the experience. Pro tip, ask for daily supply replenishment!

Perfect match for a momentary pause in Saltash with extraordinarily good value for money. Enjoyed the surprisingly large portions at dinner, even if they were more than we needed. A tip for anyone is to ask for breakfast options in advance to avoid timing issues.

missingWrote a review on Jul 08quaint charmquiet getawayproximity rivercramped room
The location offers a nice opportunity for a quiet getaway, with proximity to the river that can be glimpsed with a short walk. The hotel's quaint charm has a certain character that might appeal to those looking for an offbeat place to stay.
For a couple, the standard double room felt cramped, like a cabin squeezed into a car park, leaving little space for luggage and maneuvering. Privacy issues arose from a poorly fitting sliding bathroom door, which constantly threatened to expose one's business. Breakfast availability felt restrictive, as we were compelled to settle for a bleak continental offering until the chef arrived post-10 am. The absence of adequate ventilation was noticeable, given that the only window could be left open at risk of drenching the bed. General upkeep needed improvement—lumpy pillows and a headboard covered in splinters detracted from comfort, with the Wi-Fi proving as elusive as a Wookiee in a snowstorm.
